Made by a secret collaboration of acclaimed winemakers- who not only are each masters of the art of winemaking, but also have deep contacts in vineyard sourcing.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from 5 valley floor vineyards between Calistoga and St. Helena. Lushly fruited but with more of a French feel compared to other Napa Cabs.
Deeply pitched scents of blackberry jam and casis are underscored by toasty oak and pipe tobacco. On the palate the richness is balanced by a cord of graphite and refreshing acidity.
Sourced from premier California winegrowing regions, Conundrum Red features dark red varietals including Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is rich, complex and approachable. With lush flavors of cherries and baking chocolate, this wine has fine tannins that create a silky smoothness.
Saldo doesn’t fit in, but that doesn’t matter. When you’re from “here and there” (that’s what Saldo means in Latin), you don’t need to form to one, single place. That’s the funny thing about expectations—they’re made to be broken.
Dark ruby color with bold aromas of black licorice, black pepper, cherry, and baking spice. The entry is rich, full, and scintillating. The palate is mouthwatering and smooth with a hint of chocolate. The finish is voluptuous with soft, velvety tannins.
Intense purple and reds in color. The aromatics are opulent and very floral. No spice but more depth and richness than typical Merlots. Black fruits a common theme. Black cherry and plum in the nose. The mouth follows with rich dark fruits of plum, blackberry and some chocolate textures. Lush, ripe tannins, full body and the nice, creamy velvet tongue-wrapping flavor.
Bright violet in the glass. As it’s being poured, the aromatics hit squarely on the nose with a perception of sweetness: pure brambly raspberry juice and blueberry preserves with a hint of white pepper and High Sierra forest floor. Yet, the perceived sweetness on the nose is just that, perceived, and doesn’t carry through to the palate. Lush and enveloping with a beam of acidity, notes of blackberry pie, plum and kirsch flourish. Ultra-round tannins and lingering raspberry, the wine finishes in slow-motion.
Miura Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands by Emmanuel Kemiji
Sold Out
From Emmanuel Kemiji We made because a number of high end restaurants wanted to pour a Miura Pinot Noir by the glass but found that our single vineyard offerings were too expensive to do so. We made this wine to be more approachable in its youth, but one that retains the complexity and elegance associated with all Miura Pinot Noirs and yet priced so it can be consumed on an everyday basis.

Dark purple all the way to the rim, the wine opens with aromas of creosote, blackberries, espresso roast and toast. Now fully recovered from bottling, it has picked up density and weight adding a rich blueberry core to the palate complemented by baker’s chocolate, tobacco and licorice.

Dense flavors of ripe plum and dark cherry fruit flavors create a full, well-structured mouthfeel, with lively acidity that creates a powerful yet elegant sensation through the cherry-toasted laden finish.
Every Flowers wine is made to express the land where it was farmed. Our coastal proximity and high-elevation vineyards give our wine its distinct minerality and fresh acidity. Based on a blend of Alder Springs Grenache & Castelli-Knight Ranch Grenache, this wild and exotic blend really screams southern Rhone. We co-fermented a bit of Syrah with the Castelli Grenache so there is a dark spicy core, but really this wine is all about the wild side of Grenache.
Tasting Note: Wild aromas of white flowers, game, forest floor and tiny red berries. The palate is medium-full and supple with clean berry fruit and an exotic wildness to this classic blend, which adds character and an added dimension of earthy complexity.
ASHES & DIAMONDS’ Mountain Cuvée “Saffron Vineyard” comes from Lisa Chu’s organically farmed Mt. Veeder site, located high above the fog inversion line at an altitude of 1,500 feet, where daytime temperatures are often 15 degrees cooler than on the valley floor. the deep-rooted Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapevines were planted in 2000 in thin soils comprised of uplifted marine sediment and fractured shale. Soils with naturally low fertility and no irrigation make for naturally balanced grapevines with low yields and small berries. Once at the winery, the grapes are cold-soaked until native fermentation begins. The resulting wine is bouncy and outgoing, with explosive red fruit aromas like biting into a ripe, juicy plum, and fine, focused tannins.
The grapes for this wine come from loamy, well-drained soils on the estate vineyard. Dijon and Wente clones are fermented in stainless steel as well as in French oak foudres and demi-muids. For this vintage of our Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, we blended warmer climate fruit with that grown in a cooler area to create a wine with tension between the rich fruit and lush mouthfeel of a centrally located Russian River vineyard against the bright fruit and racy acidity from the westernmost vineyards. The blend was completed after each different vineyard block was aged separately for 10 months and reached our standard for what a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir should be.
