The 2012 BenMarco Cabernet Sauvignon is a ripe version of Cabernet with small amounts of other Bordeaux varieties and roasted aromas of charred wood, ripe plums, blackberries and cassis. The palate is medium-bodied, with the telltale texture of Cabernet, and has fine-grained, slightly dusty tannins and a licorice-tingled finish. A good, ripe Cabernet that is drinkable now, but should improve in bottle.
Sold Out $30.00
Aromas of raspberry and cherry with notes of cinnamon spice, vanilla, and clove with a nice touch of oak. The multi-layered flavors of blackberry, juicy cherries, and spice combine well with a long, lingering finish of mixed berry and dried currant.
Sold Out $15.00
Dusty garnet color. Inviting aromas and flavors of chocolate mint, toasted fruit cake, and menthol with a supple, bright, fruity medium body and a seamless, delightful, medium-length finish with chewy tannins and light oak. A nice, spicy, minty cabernet.
Elderberry, wood smoke, charred beef and baked soil show on the nose of this bottling from a region south of Hollister. There is a lot of earthy flavor on the sip, with wet soil adding to the tangy black plum skin and smoke qualities.
Sold Out $22.00
Cassis and bramble fruit with a hint of Mother Earth and sufficient cocoa to make it interesting. It tastes like cabernet. Nuanced and satisfying, you will not be disappointed in flavors that pour out of this bottle.
