A pure example of Chenin Blanc and one that comes from limestone-rich soils, Fleuve Blanc is a crisp and dry version of the variety sourced from Jean-François’ vineyards supplemented by fruit purchased from conscientious neighbors.
Red and black fruit with floral aromatics and notes of red plums, black cherries and candied violets.
The palate offers a juicy fruit-forward entry followed by a round and lively middle full of huckleberries and hints of jasmine and red fruit. Tannins are silky and lingering, adding balance and length to the finish, which is complemented by toasted coconut and vanilla sweetness from the oak treatment.
