The palate confirms this fruitiness and brings a nice and clean mineral note. Served at 10-12°C, this very concentrated wine expresses its strong personality. With three to five years of bottle-aging, the wine gains roundness, richness and complexity.

When exploring the section of Oliver's Vineyard from which our Sauvignon Blanc vines spring you'll find an interesting and unexplainable patch of rocks, sand and soil composition, unique from the rest of the vineyard. It's as if something magical or otherworldly transported these physical elements and placed them where they don't belong.
Theories about this spot are whispered in dark corners of the winery, ranging from ancient whirlpools to alien intervention. While we may never know why this particular spot is so different from the rest, just like the wine made from the grapes grown there, it's truly something special. As you savor the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, the flavors of fresh pineapple and lime, accompanied by aromas of saline and papaya, will make you believe in magic too.

This alcohol-free Chardonnay is our latest addition to the EINS-ZWEI-ZERO-portfolio. It offers an original character that is clean with fresh fruit and citrus. This crisp Chardonnay shows a dry finish and relatively long aftertaste. From our dry farmed estate vines, this full bodied, deep garnet 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and rich with long soft tannins and a smooth integrated structure. Greater concentration of flavor is the result of our old world farming practice of deficit irrigation. Less water and a greater skin to flesh ratio equals more intense fruit on palate. Shows black and red current, a touch of cocoa and notes of Christmas spice on the nose. The palate is rich with cherry pie, figs, smoked meats and hints of sage brush. This wine will age easily 10+ years.

“Dum Spiro Spero” – while I breath I hope – is the Snowden family motto which has appeared on every label and every cork since we began producing our own wines 30 years ago. For our 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, we are using it to mark a unique cuvée from a unique growing year, when winemaker Diana Snowden Seysses combined the Cabernet Sauvignon which would normally have gone into our Brothers and Los Ricos vineyard designates with Cabernet Franc from our Melchior Kemper block. Diana loved the small clusters and small berries of 2020, which resulted in “spectacular concentration. The bouquet is lifted with violets and beeswax. Plum, black cherry, and Bramble lie beneath. On the palate, the wine boasts layers of juicy dark fruit – it is dense and hedonistic.” Fermented with wild, native yeasts, aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% new, and bottled unfined in April, 2022. Due to the fires of 2020, it is the only red wine we will be releasing under the Snowden label from the vintage. 11,220 bottles were produced$135.00

Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco has a subtle nose, some spice, green herb and bright, cherry notes, but just now it is not very forthcoming. In time, the nose opens a little to warm, spicy, dried fruits aromas. On the palate there is plenty of bright, juicy, mouthwatering acidity, although the wine feels a little leaner in the middle. This is a pretty, quite fragile style but very approachable and enjoyable, offering flavors of sun-dried fruit rather than fresh berries. It is refreshing and lively with gentle tannins and a tangy finish.$24.00
Light in texture and fragrant with floral, berry and beet aromas, this plays its fresh flavors against refined tannins, lingering effortlessly. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre.$27.00
The ZERO-POINT-FIVE Pinot Noir offers an original character that is clean and fresh with notes of red currant and cherries; you will also detect a nicely embedded tannic structure and an almost dry finish, which is remarkably long. Of course, an alcohol-free wine never will give the same depth, structure, and weight as a wine with alcohol, but this is extremely close to it and it is simply an alcohol-free wine tasting wine. Impressive. We recommend pairing this alcohol-free Pinot Noir with roast or game; it's a nice option for grilled fish, or a Lamb Biryani.$79.00

Nestled in a modest and beautiful valley in Arroyo Grande, our Grenache vines often see cold, brisk days with constant, salty winds from the Pacific Ocean. Like many vines in the Rincon Vineyard, they endure some extreme growing conditions and these vines make us wait. Every sunny day is needed to achieve ripeness and our Grenache grapes are always some of the last we harvest each season.
But, as they say, good things take time. This is true of the 2022 Grenache with a mouthwatering and zingy finish that delivers notes of pomegranate and cardamom.

A touch of a cooler year in the Russian River has provided us with a Petite Sirah that, reminds me more of blend of Cornas and Côte Rôtie. Its purple, black color has hints of dark ruby on the rim. If you’re into blackberry pie filling in a perfectly baked pie shell, this wine is for you. Mixed in are subtle hints of dried apricots and peaches and savory notes that adds an extra dimension to the aromatics.
A full-bodied wine with a sweet silky mouthfeel and just enough minerality and structure to carry this wine. The flavors are true reflection of the aromatics with a touch of Australian black licorice weaving through the wine from the midpalate to the lengthy finish.

2017 Vintage was Carrie's Cellar Club Wine Selection April 2024.
A saturated earth red color that is reminiscent of the red soils up at 2000 ft elevation of Rockpile vineyard and a nose that’s all about place! Mineral, mineral, mineral - terroir at its essence. This is followed by a sweet cassis and black cherry, iron and a feeling that this wine is tightly wound and ready to explode from the glass.
The palate shows incredible richness, a tight structure, and then a sweetness that will not only mesmerize but will open your eyes to the magic that is Rockpile Vineyard.

This vineyard is named for its prized location on State Lane north of the Yountville Crossroad and northeast of the town of Yountville. This distinct vineyard relies on its rocky, loam soil for excellent drainage throughout the year. The vines, as well as the clusters, are moderate in size and the vineyard gets full sun throughout the day. From the outset, this is one powerful, deeply expressive Cabernet Sauvignon with a lingering finish.
