Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco has a subtle nose, some spice, green herb and bright, cherry notes, but just now it is not very forthcoming. In time, the nose opens a little to warm, spicy, dried fruits aromas. On the palate there is plenty of bright, juicy, mouthwatering acidity, although the wine feels a little leaner in the middle. This is a pretty, quite fragile style but very approachable and enjoyable, offering flavors of sun-dried fruit rather than fresh berries. It is refreshing and lively with gentle tannins and a tangy finish.
It is evident that this wine is a blend of nebbiolo from Spinetta’s 3 Barbaresco vineyards in Neive . The nose is broad and penetrating, with hints of fresh fruits, violets, and roses. Meanwhile, in the mouth it begins with a soft entrance, followed by gentle but persistent tannins.
Intense ruby red in colour, fragrant nose with scents of wild prune, black cherry jam, pepper. Dry but enveloping in the mouth with sweet notes of red fruits; balanced alcohol content and stunningly soft thanks to its reduced acidity.
Aromas of fresh lemons, citrus zest, grapefruit, white flowers, crushed stones. Refined, tangy and light, with a refreshing note of sea salt on the finish.
TASTING IMPRESSIONS: Aromas of red and black cherries, plums, fresh blueberries, light spices. Fresh and juicy, smooth. PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: Grilled chicken; air-dried salami; hamburgers with smoked bacon
On the nose there is the aroma of field flowers such as camomile, elderflower, iris. Strong minerality on the palate with a finish of almond, typical of the classic Garganega varietal.
Lagrein is one of Alto Adige’s native varieties. Very dark garnet in colour with violet reflexes, and an aroma of violets, black woodland berry fruits (bilberry and blackberry) with hints of dark chocolate; mouth-filling and spicy on the palate with ripe, velvety tannins and a long long finish. Lagrein unique character has gained it a favourable place among Italy’s top wines and among the attentive consumer around the world.
The sediment in the bottle is naturally occurring. Most sparkling wines go through a disgorgement – the process of removing the yeast sediment for a clear wine. We feel that the sediment protects the wine naturally and gives it more flavor.
This style of wine is often referred to as a “Pet Nat,” short- hand for the French term “Pétillant Naturel,” a “natural spar- kling” wine, or Méthode Ancestrale, because it is believed to be a very ancient style of winemaking.
The flavors encompass orange blossom, mandarin peel, fresh bread, and red berries like raspberry and cherry. If you like the sediment, gently turn upside-down before opening. If you don’t want sediment in your glass, chill the wine upright and pour off until you reach the sediment at the bottom then stop.
Deeply intense ruby red color. On the nose, it’s remarkably complex with notes of ripe red fruit, black cherries, sour cherries that merge with sweet hints of vanilla, mint and delicate sensations of white pepper and myrtle. The palate is rich and well-balanced: supple velvety tannins are sustained by exceptional freshness that give the wine length, elegance and persistence of flavors.
All of the grapes for this wine come from the single 'cru' called Bricco Boschis. This is classic Castiglione Falletto Barolo, combining the clear fruit notes of La Morra and Barolo itself (strawberry, occasionally red-currant) with many other botanical notes supported by middling dark-chocolate tannins. It's firmer than La Morra, but not as beefy as Serralunga. While it can be drunk while young, this will age for as long as you can resist opening it.
Capturing the freshness and finesse of the vintage, this has classic varietal aromas of rose petal, forest berry, camphor and underbrush. Reflecting the nose, the vibrant, focused palate delivers ripe red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild mint and star anise set against taut, refined tannins. Bright acidity keeps it balanced. While you won't have to wait years before enjoying this, it will also age at least another decade or more. Best 2024–2033.

Delicious, balanced and refined, Ostinato Fine Ambra Secco is a dry Marsala that is produced according to traditional methods now rarely seen in the appellation, especially in Fine expressions. It begins with its ‘alto grado’ base wine, from late-harvest, low-yielding Grillo, Inzolia and Catarratto old vines. Its higher natural ABV means the wine is less reliant on fortification and is more expressive of Marsala’s indelible terroir. Extended aging beyond the minimum Fine requirements produce a Marsala that resonates with deep vinous character.
